A Room Without Books

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

I agree with Cicero. Of course, it depends on what type of room we are talking about – for instance, I like to keep my bedroom for sleeping, although I know many people love to read in bed. Pretty much any other room is likely to have books – lots of them, strewn all over the place, several at various stages of being read.

The soul is the realm of the mind (books teach us) of the emotions (books entertain, delight, comfort and sometimes even frighten us) and of the will (books can show us how to make the right choices) so I think this quote is very appropriate.
